“143” feels like a misfire on every level—like she’s still trying to force the same formula that worked a decade ago but hasn’t gotten the memo that the game has changed. working with dr. luke AGAIN is just… idk, it’s not a good look and the sound is straight-up fossilized.

“woman’s world” is so flat it almost makes me miss “roar.” like, how do you turn a song about empowerment into something that sounds like it’s reading off a teleprompter?

overall, this album just feels like she’s chasing her own tail. there’s no sense of growth or direction, just this weird nostalgia-trip-to-nowhere that’s not working. we’ve moved on, but katy hasn’t. i honestly feel bad for her fans bc this is… tough.
