You are not meant to scale

It’s been a rough few weeks. I feel like it was two years ago that I subscribed to wired.com, who is doing incredible reporting about everything going on.

Take a deep breath, and say out loud: I am not a machine, I am not meant to scale. You have a finite amount of energy, and a community of people around you who can use that energy. You can use that energy, to make it through the day, which is the most important thing. Waking up tomorrow is the name of the game.

It was a little over eight years ago that I was starting my job at Nava PBC, on the week of Trumps inauguration. I won’t sugar coat things, that it feels much more dire and miserable this time, but it felt like this last time. The idea that there might not be a tomorrow, that the people that I love are going to be removed from my life by force.
